Worship dance workshop

Each occasion has a special topic on which the workshop is based.

We start every class with a mental and spiritual attunement: with common prayer, intimate conversation. Everyone can share for what she is praying, what is in her heart and for what purpose she wishes to offer the occasion as a prayer.

The warm-up begins with simple steps and gentle, airy stretching movements having a stress-relieving effect on the body.

This is followed by improvisational, individual exercises that encourage natural movement, which on the one hand help to release emotional blocks and dissipate accumulated energy, and on the other hand develop self-expression and the ability to tune in to others.

The rest of the class is filled with light dance choreography set to uplifting music tuned to prayer, providing a communal experience for all participants.

(Music by artists such as Enya, Hans Zimmer, and Hauser is used. The heartfelt worship songs used for the devotional dances are selected from the songs of Hungarian performers, which we sing and dance to together.)

The session ends with a sharing circle, where everyone can tell how they felt, what they took away from the workshop, and give feedback.

The Worship Dance Workshop not only provides spiritual and physical rejuvenation for every lady, mother and teacher but also helps strengthen a prayerful relationship with God. 

Please make sure to bring comfortable training clothes that you can dance in and a long skirt for the group choreography.
